1. Agreement and Acceptance
These terms and conditions, together with the online booking form, constitute the entire agreement governing the provision of taxi services by NZ VAN TAXI LTD. By completing a booking and utilizing the service, the customer fully acknowledges and agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.
NZ VAN TAXI LTD retains the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Existing bookings shall remain subject to the terms applicable at the time of reservation.
2. Booking and Service Provisions
- A minimum notice period of three (3) hours is required for online bookings. Customers requiring service within a shorter timeframe must contact the office directly to confirm availability.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to allow sufficient time for airport check-in procedures, potential traffic delays, and other unforeseen circumstances. NZ VAN TAXI LTD shall not be liable for delays resulting from inadequate time allocation by the customer.
- Customers must ensure that the selected vehicle is suitable for the number of passengers and luggage requirements. Excess luggage may not be accommodated unless pre-arranged.
- Any amendments to the journey, including deviations from the pre-agreed route, additional mileage, or extended waiting times, will incur supplementary charges based on the company’s pricing structure.
3. Airport Transfers and Waiting Charges
- For inbound flights, NZ VAN TAXI LTD provides a complimentary forty-five (45) minutes of waiting time. Any additional waiting time beyond this period will be subject to extra charges.
- Drivers will wait for up to ninety (90) minutes for airport pickups. Failure to establish contact within this timeframe will result in the booking being classified as a no-show, and no refund shall be issued.
- Passengers are advised to allocate adequate time for immigration clearance and baggage retrieval to prevent unnecessary waiting charges.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Bookings cancelled with at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice qualify for a full refund.
- If a cancellation occurs after a vehicle has been dispatched, charges will be applied based on the distance travelled and time spent by the assigned driver.
5. Passenger Conduct and Responsibilities
- Passengers must always conduct themselves in a respectful and orderly manner during the journey. If a vehicle is soiled, cleaning costs shall be charged to the customer.
- Vomiting in vehicle can cost passengers
- NZ VAN TAXI LTD reserves the right to refuse service to any passenger exhibiting intoxication due to alcohol or drug consumption.
- Should a passenger’s behaviour pose a threat to the safety or integrity of the driver or vehicle, the service shall be terminated immediately, and no refund shall be provided.
6. Operational Commitments and Liability
- NZ VAN TAXI LTD monitors all incoming flights to facilitate timely pickups.
- While every effort is made to ensure punctual service, external factors such as road congestion or unforeseen circumstances may result in delays, for which the company shall not be held liable.
- In the event of a vehicle breakdown, the company shall take reasonable steps to provide an alternative vehicle as promptly as possible.
- In cases of force majeure, including national emergencies, riots, war, fuel shortages, extreme weather conditions, or terrorist incidents, services may be cancelled, with refunds issued where applicable.
7. Additional Provisions
- Receipts: Digital receipts requested on the day of travel may require up to two (2) working days for issuance.
- NZ VAN TAXI LTD may engage subcontractors or partner companies to fulfil bookings when necessary.
- Prohibited Activities: Smoking, eating, and drinking are strictly prohibited within all company vehicles.
- Luggage Handling: Passengers are responsible for ensuring their luggage is properly loaded and unloaded. The company shall bear no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
- If a driver experience delays due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances, an alternative vehicle may be arranged to complete the journey.
- Unauthorized Bookings: Private arrangements made directly with drivers are strictly prohibited. The company shall not assume responsibility for incidents arising from such unauthorized bookings.
- Call Recordings: Certain customer service calls may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.
